Hey you, welcome to my digital hideout! šŸ’»āœØ

Nice to meet you...

I’m Amelia—but let’s get one thing straight: I’ve got more nicknames than job titles.

Norwegian friends and Family call me Amy, my Indonesian friends call me Amel or Mel, and back home, my fam still calls me Lia. So take your pick—I answer to all of them (especially if there’s food or coffee involved ā˜•šŸœ).

So who am I, really?

Born and raised in beautiful, chaotic, food-filled Indonesia, I’m the proud big sister to two amazing siblings and daughter to the strongest woman I know. My dad passed away in 2012, and even though he’s not with us anymore, he’s still a big part of my why. ā¤ļø

I graduated in 2003 with a degree in English for Education—because I've always loved learning and sharing knowledge (even if life later handed me fish instead of books... but we’ll get to that). In 2004, I met my husband, and in 2005 we said "let’s do this" and got married. That same year, I moved to Norway—and whew, what a shift!

Fast forward: We have an amazing son (born 2008), I became a Norwegian citizen in 2015, and I’ve now lived in Norway longer than I ever imagined. I work full-time in a salmon processing plant aka the Slaughterhouse 🐟 (I know, super glam), and I’ve been doing that for nearly 20 years. Yup, 20 years of fish guts and freezer boots. Glamorous? No. Honest work? Absolutely.

But here's the thing…

At some point, I started asking myself: ā€œIs this really it? Work, sleep, repeat?ā€
Because while I believe in working hard, I also believe in not losing yourself in the grind. I tried the whole "multiple jobs, hustle ā€˜til you drop" routine... and spoiler: it led straight to burnout city. No thanks.

In late December 2023, I stumbled on a woman talking about digital and affiliate marketing. Something clicked. I joined the program in January 2024. And after six months of fear, learning, overthinking (and talking myself out of it 67 times), I finally decided:
Let’s do this thing.

No background in marketing. No techy degree. Just pure willpower, Wi-Fi, and the drive to build a life with more time, more freedom, and more ME.

So… why After Hour Lifestyle?

Because everything I’m building—digital products, passive income streams, creative freedom—happens after hours.
After the fish. After the shift. After the real-life stuff.

It’s the life I’m creating outside the 9–5 (or in my case, 6am fish shift).
It’s about building a lifestyle that doesn’t have to wait for retirement.

I wanted more:
šŸ•° More time
šŸ’ø More money
šŸ’ā€ā™€ļø More me

And this brand is how I’m doing it.

When I’m not covered in salmon scales or building digital dreams…

You’ll probably find me knitting like a woman possessed. 🧶 It’s how I chill after a long day—Netflix (or Disney+), blanket, tea, and about six half-finished pairs of socks on my lap because yes, I somehow thought it was a good idea to knit six at once. (Don't ask. It's a vibe.)

I also love photography—especially nature. Norway spoils us with the Midnight Sun in summer (where the sun literally refuses to go to bed for two months), and the Northern Lights in winter (aka "the sky decided to throw a glow party").

Pictures of Northern lights and midnight sun, taken at 3.30 am on summer 2022.

Hiking here is practically a religion. Norwegians take their coffee, pack a lunch, and hit the trails like pros. And honestly? I love it. It’s good for the soul—and the thighs.

This is the view you get when you’re hiking in Norway.

⚽ Oh, and I’m a football fan.
Team Juventus forever.
My husband and son? Traitors. They're die-hard Liverpool. It’s fine. We survive.

šŸŽ¶ Music? I love everything. Top 40, Spanish, Italian—even if I have no idea what they’re singing about. If it makes me dance, I’m in.

So what’s the point of all this?

I created this space for YOU.
To show you what’s possible—even if you’ve got zero experience, a full-time job, and a life that feels ā€œtoo busy.ā€
If you’re looking for a way out, a way forward, or just a way to start something new—you're in the right place.

Because if people like me can do this, so can you.

So thank you for being here.

Thank you for reading.

And feel free to reach out anytime—whether it’s about digital marketing, knitting chaos, or football debates. I got you.

Let’s build your After Hour Lifestyle together.

With love (and coffee),

Amelia
